Shri Chunibhai H. Gajera Managing Trustee, Gajera Trust The COVID-19 global pandemic presents the gravest public health challenge that the world the country has faced in a century. The rapid and unpredictable pace with which it has developed has necessitated that we should react with the greatest speed and urgency. Responding to the pandemic, Gajera Trust has had two overarching priorities. The first being the health and safety of all students, parents, faculty and staff who comprise the Gajera community. Secondly, maintaining the continuity of learning and sharing to ensure that child is engaged at home. In this context, we have taken an enormous number of difficult, complex and unprecedented decisions on a daily basis. The most important decision is the adaptation to synchronous virtual learning. Every day there are new challenges and we are jointly working hard to mitigate them. It is like navigating a ship in a tempest to reach the shore with each wave pushing us back into the

Mrs. Shweta Parihar (Principal) Before I say anything, let’s take a moment to thank God for all the blessings he has showered on us. Let’s thank Him for the roof over our head, the food on the table, the love of our children and near and dear ones. We thank God for keeping our children safe. We thank God for keeping us sound in health and mind. I hope you’re doing well and using your time to reconnect with your loved ones. Yes, these are trying times. We must also remember that trying times can bring out the best in us. Gold glitters when it is heated in fire. Similarly, the present medical emergency will definitely leave us stronger and brighter. And this is the message we must pass on to our children. We need to teach them toughness by fighting the fear gripping the world, tenacity by constantly battling the odds and love by showing sympathy and concern to the not-so-lucky ones who have fallen victim to the scourge. ONLINE CLASSES - Online Classes for Academic Year 2020 – 2021. - Purpose - After the declaration of results online classes started in full swing as learning could not be compromised, pandemic or no pandemic. With the full cooperation of educators, learners and parents, the syllabus went on as usual, as if nothing unusual had happened.Video lessons were uploaded, complemented by online classes. This will be continued as long as the situation does not come back to normal.

CREATIVE WRITING FOR GRADE 1 st & 2 nd Date of Competition – 11 th April 2020. Purpose - Apart from poetry, another form of self-expression is stories. It develops one’s imagination, organisation and the problem-solving abilities to find ingenious ways to take the story to its natural ending. Creative Writing competition encouraged Gajerians to spin a yarn to entertain.

POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION FOR PREP LEARNERS Date of Competition – 20 th April 2020. Purpose - Hard times create tough men. It’s in these times that the best in us comes out, be it in the field of science and technology or art and culture. To help learners channelize their pent up energy, the school organized a poetry recitation competition for learners.

ARTICLE WRITING FOR GRADE 3 rd TO 5 th Date of Competition – 26 th April 2020. Purpose - Unlike creative writing, writing articles requires a different set of skills as the writer needs to find information, find the most relevant among them, organize the thoughts in an understandable manner and present them in a coherent way for the reader. To help the learners develop these abilities, an article writing competition was held for grades 3 rd and 5 th . The learners actively participated in the competition and made it a success. It was also successful in channelizing their energy productively as all are confined to homes these days.

SELF-WRITTEN POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION Date of Competition – 29 th April 2020. Purpose - Our love for music and rhythm makes us tune to it effortlessly. It’s also one of the best forms of self-expression as it can present the entire universe in a nutshell. To develop our learners' writing skills and poetic sensibilities through self-expression, a self- written poetry recitation competition was held for grades 6 th through 12 th . The competition was held online in which learners recited their poems on camera.
